Why refer to OneStop Youth Employment Hub?
As a result of the pandemic, it is younger people who are experiencing the bulk of job losses, redundancies and reduced employment and training opportunities.
We are working alongside Job Centre Plus, and Sid Youth to launch a OneStop Youth hub to help young people access advice and support and ensuring they still have access to training or job opportunities. Our physical space is where young people can meet their youth and work coaches in a safe and welcoming environment. There will also be opportunities to work with our partners who will be offering extra support.
Any young person aged 18-24 who is claiming universal credit can access our personalised coaching programme with a focus on supporting physical and mental health. We aim to help build your resilience and skills for your future employment.
Are you an unemployed resident aged 18-24 and need support with the next step towards a job that’s right for you?
Once we've received your referral , we will arrange a one-on-one conversation with you and a dedicated adviser. We will use this time to get to know you and your current situation. We’ll work with you to understand what support you may need, before working with you to decide on the best next step and some clear goals. What happens next depends on what you decide your goals are and what you want support with!
In some cases, we will introduce you to excellent local organisations that best meet your needs. We will also be working closely with employers and can help you make links with them. Once you have a job or are engaged on an employment programme we will stay in touch with you and help you navigate this positive step forward.
All you have to do now is refer yourself to the OneStop Youth Employment Hub.
